I hope your summer has been Blessed and I am so excited to see you! We are going to have such an exciting year, and what fills me with joy is knowing that we will be learning together.
When school begins, we will go through classroom rules and procedures, but I want to share with you my NUMBER ONE RULE. The number one rule, which covers ALL other rules: John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” If we follow this as our number one rule, we will create a wonderful environment for each other.
It is going to be a year filled with exciting learning opportunities. We will become even better readers and writers this year, as well as expanding our knowledge of history and how we can relate it to the world we live in presently.
Here are a few FYI important pieces of information to start off the school year: Car line drop off begins at 7:30am. Students who arrive after 7:50am will be marked tardy for the day. Students who arrive between 7:30 and 7:45 are able to come up to the classroom to unpack and get ready for the day. Many of the students benefit from this time in homeroom to prepare for their day.
Summer book reports are due Wednesday, September 4, 2024. To receive full credit, they must be turned in on time. Points will be deducted for each day a report is late. Reports will not be accepted after Friday, September 6th.
Please check the supply list to ensure that all requested items have been brought to school. Please make sure that you have a SOFT pencil case. It is necessary, because the case travels from class to class with you.
I hope each day is filled with God’s love and I look forward to seeing you on August 29th!
