As the school year continues, I always find myself amazed and overjoyed to see the learning, friendships and empathy that happens within the classroom and school.
Our NUMBER ONE RULE, the rule which covers ALL other rules: John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” is evident throughout the week.
As we finish the newest novel, "Return to Sender," we are gaining a greater understanding of topics that are so pertinent to our country today. Within that context, we are able to see God's goodness and grace. Next up will be "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe," where we will find allegories and make connections to Jesus and the Bible!!!!
In addition to the traditional subjects of grammar, vocabulary and spelling, we are working on honing our skills in reading.
Social Studies continues to come alive, with history being applied to everyday life. Through social, academic and civic exploration, we are becoming well-rounded citizens!
Please check and ensure that school supplies have been replenished. Pencils, erasers, index cards, etc. tend to run low this time of year.
As we approach the Lenten Season (it is just a little more than a month away) let us start thinking about what we can do as followers of Christ to bring HIS goodness to others!
