According to NJAC 8:57-4.19, children 6 months through 59 months of age attending preschool shall annually receive at least one dose of influenza vaccine between September 1st and December 31st each year.
Children who do not receive the flu vaccine by December 31st of the current school year must be excluded from school for the duration of the Flu season (through March 31st) or until they receive at least one dose of the influenza vaccine.
Please send the medical documentation to the Health Office as soon as your child receives the Flu Vaccine. It’s not too soon to get the vaccine today!
Please do not wait until the last minute. You will not be able to return to school after the Christmas break unless you have received this vaccine.
